Hoppy Easter

We had a very busy Easter weekend, it started Saturday with a neighborhood Easter egg hunt that my neighbor Brooke and I put together. It went really well we had 19 kids attend and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I was very impressed that Ashley knew exactly what to do and got four or five eggs in her basket all by herself. Ella was so worried about Ashley eating candy that she wasn't supposed to have so being the big sister she thought she would help out by taking all of the candy out of Ashley's eggs and putting them in her own basket...what a nice sister :) We are hoping the Berkshire Easter Egg Hunt will be an annual event from now on. Sunday morning the girls searched for their Easter baskets and we enjoyed a family breakfast before heading up to Seattle for Easter dinner with my family. Although it was busy weekend it was great to celebrate with family and friends. Another exciting event that occured this weekend is that Ella gave all of her binkies to the Easter Bunny. She has only had binkies at night for awhile now but she decided that she was ready to be a big girl and give them to the Easter Bunny so he could give them to the babies that needed them. She has done so much better than Bernie and I ever expected. We are so proud of our big girl!

Children's Museum

We headed down to Olympia last week with our good friends the Lentzs to the famous Children's Museum. The kids had a great time and tested out all they had to offer. We could have stayed there all day there was so much to do. I am sure we will be back again very soon.

First Day of School

Ok so it's not really her first day of school but Ashley did start going to a co-op one day a week. What that means is that this mom gets three whole hours to herself on Fridays! I am seriously amazed at how much I can accomplish in three hours without children. Not having to get them in and out of the car while running to the grocery store or Costco, actually being able to clean the house without the girls in the next room over making a new mess for me to clean up, being able to start a project and actually complete it without having to stop a dozen times really the possibilities are endless. I am so excited...not to mention the co-op was great for Ella and I think Ashley is really going to get a lot out of it too! Yay Ashley what a big girl :)

Shoe Obsession

As we were walking through the shoe section at Target Ella says, "Oh mom they're perfect, I have to have them!" In her hands were these pink sparkle shoes. I knew there was no way we were getting out of Target without them and really how could I say no to that? She is in love, she wants to wear them everywhere. She pairs them with dresses, skirts, sweats doesn't matter, as far as she is concerned they go with everything. I guess it doesn't matter the age, every girl loves a great pair of shoes :)

One Year Pictures

and then she ate cake...

She's Got the Look

The infamous eye roll!

If I say or do something that Ashley doesn't like this is the look I get. Seriously she is ONE year old! God help me when these girls are in Junior High and High School. Anyone have a room they want to rent?

Jump

A new place opened in Gig Harbor called Jump and this place is awesome. There are four huge jump houses for kids to play on in this big warehouse and even us moms got to try them out too! Ella went with her friends Miley, Kellen and Corey. It was a good day especially for me since Ella took a three hour nap when she got home...she quit naps a couple of months ago so this was a big bonus for me!
